EB Teacher's Pledge - Primary Teacher's Load

Currently in Tasmania, the instructional load for teachers in the secondary sector is 40 hours per fortnight compared to 44 hours per fortnight in the primary sector.
AEU members believe that ALL teachers should have an instructional load of 40 hours per fortnight. We believe that this is an issue of equity as well as a workload issue. It is also a means to provide our Primary students with a broader and guaranteed curriculum using specialist teachers.  Click image to download.
